Columbus pools to reopen Saturday; most water sites treating to ...
Most Columbus pools will be open on Saturday, after closing Friday to "hyper-chlorinate" the water in an effort to prevent a diarrheal disease that has hit more than 200 people. That means the Dodge, Driving Park, Lincoln, Maryland and Tuttle pools, as well as Columbus' spray grounds and the Scioto Mile fountains, will be open, said John Gloyd, the city's aquatics director. The other city pools had closed for the season last weekend. "I don't foresee any problems," Gloyd said. He said the city..

Worthington family works to heal after fatal crash
With five children and two dogs, the Fisher household has always been a chaotic hub of friends, neighbors and school activities. Four daughters and a son left Jeff Fisher, 45, exhilarated but also overwhelmed. That feeling of being overwhelmed, however, was never more real to him than this past week as he visited two of his daughters and his wife in their hospital beds. All were critically injured August 12, when Vicki Fisher pulled their van from a stop sign in rural Henry County and into the..

Clippers 11, Mud Hens 5 | Big innings spark victory
The adage is that one can expect to see something different every day in baseball, and that was never truer than the Ripley’s Believe It or Not type game Friday night in Huntington Park. It looked as though the Clippers would be on the wrong side of a blowout against Toledo in being down by four runs after four innings. By the time the 3-hour, 9-minute game ended, Columbus scored six runs in the sixth inning and four in the seventh, and three different outfielders threw out four runners at se..
